MEDITATION
What is Meditation? “Meditation is the art of uniting with Reality. The Art of Meditation is not a job to be performed as one does the duties of one’s professional life, since it is something special for higher growth. Worldly activities of life are in the form of a function of one’s individuality or personality which is to a large extent extraneous to one’s nature, due to which there is a fatigue after work and there are times when one gets fed up with work, altogether and becomes stressful. Meditation is one of the unique & wonderful Techniques to Release the Stress. If we say relaxation is the basic fundamental of Meditation – it is in fact a conscious relaxation, awareness relaxation. Meditation has been used over the years in many parts of the world to achieve deep relaxation and peace of mind. It is not a religion or philosophy but a tool that utilises our internal awareness to release tensions, gain self-confidence and peace. For better relaxation if we start to become aware of our breathing, it leads us to Deep Meditation with different Techniques of Meditation which is being discussed in other section. Most of the people mix Meditation with the imagination but it is conscious relaxation. The continuous and conscious effort to focus our attention completely on our breathing takes us away from the out world. We have evolved many Methods of Meditation in another section where you can choose any one preferred one according to a person’s living conditions. Generally Meditation is considered to be a difficult task to be performed easily and successfully by everyone. Most of the people are of the view that entering into Meditation; one has to get rid of all the worldly things like profession and family etc. Hence, it is quite clear that people are not yet fully aware of Meditation and still have lot of misconceptions about it. All the practices of Meditation have one thing in common - they all focus on quieting the busy mind. The intention is not to remove stimulation but rather to direct your concentration to one healing element - one sound, one word, one image, or one's breath. When the mind is "filled" with the feeling of calm and peace, it cannot take off on its own and worry, stress out, or get depressed.
