Create a mantra: A mantra is a repeated phrase, word, or sentence that reminds you about your goal. It could be something like, “Smile”, "Relax" and “Let it go". Lay down your priorities: When life seems to be too complicated, determine what things are really important to you. List them and do it on priority basis. Prepare a list of things, which you would like to do first and then do rest of the things one by one.

A pet is a faithful friend: if you are lonely or socially isolated, a pet proved to be a very good friend of yours. But sometimes a new pet can create many hassles, which could potentially add to your stress if you are living in a hyper-busy environment.
Your own outdoor exercises to cope: Carry out community service: Your self-esteem and confidence rises when you do for others. Sometimes you get a different perspective what is important in life or how hard life can treat with others. Your problems seem to be manageable, but your help may lead others to come out of miseries. Pick a service or program that has meaning for you as well as for the community and involve yourself fully with it.
Enjoy nature: There is a soothing force in nature, which cannot be expressed in words, but you only experience it. Just spare sometime and get away from busy life for few days or hours. Do visit the mountains, the ocean, the forest, a river, field, and a park and enjoy the nature’s beauty. So enjoy the nature at least for some time completely forgetting everything.
Spare some time for yourself: Remember when the last time you pampered yourself in long hot bath, a massage, a new haircut, a small shopping spree, a vacation, quiet time alone? This would give you more relief mentally and physically.
Identify someone who really listens to you: You have a volume of thoughts to share, but no one has time to listen to you. Most of the times you don't need advice, you just need someone to listen to you patiently and try to understand under what circumstances you are going through. This makes you feel many times at ease and lighter.
Plenty of outside resources are available: There are many books, tapes and videos available in the libraries, book stores and also in stress management centres. You are to decide according to your resources, time at your disposal and according to your taste, what appeals you the most.
Do something to relax: You may be at your workplace or on the roadside while driving, feel free to include a period of relaxation every day.
Attend relaxation techniques. You may attend a workshop or buy a tape and start practicing relaxation. You will be able to relax yourself fully and let the stress go.
Physical exercise. Even a ten-minute walk can help to clear your head, change your perspective or raise your energy level. If you are stressed, this type of activity can really diversify your attention to another direction and can do physiological and psychological wonders.
Select an outside interest or hobby: It is important to have something in your life that is non-competitive and constructive like gardening, photography, wood working and so on. There should be something to enjoy which helps you to feel peaceful and at ease.
Attend a yoga class or meditation workshop: Open your mind to other possible ways of viewing the world. Yoga and meditation will have a drastic positive effect on your body and mind.
